It's a w ay of wishing\, hoping\, aiming\, at everything that has been deemed impos sible."\n\nJoin us for this online Reading Group\, hosted by Karmela Jones \, to read\, discuss and engage with Feminism Interrupted Disrupting Power by Lola Olufemi.\n\nDr. Lola Olufemi is a black feminist writer\, researc her and Lecturer in Fine Art Critical Studies at Goldsmiths\, University o f London. Her work focuses on the utility of the political imagination in the textual and visual cultures of radical social movements\, examining th e role cultural production plays in materialist resistance and collective conceptualisations of futurity.\n\nThis revolutionary book reclaims femini sm from consumerism through exploring state violence against women\, repro ductive justice\, transmisogyny\, sex work\, gendered Islamophobia and muc h more\, showing that the struggle for gendered liberation is a struggle f or justice\, one that can transform the world for everybody.\n\n‘Reading her is to believe that another world is possible.’ – Nesrine Malik\n\ n**Practicalities:**\n\nThis Reading Group is specific to therapeutic prac titioners at any stage of training or practice.Starting in **January** **2 026**\, we will meet together on Zoom on the **following Monday evenings** from **7pm – 8.30pm UK time**. Numbers will be limited to enable our sh ared discussion. We ask for a joining fee of £21 that **covers all three meetings** to support the ongoing work and commitments of the Feminist The rapy Network. A CPD certificate of completion can be provided upon request .\n\n Monday 19th January (Introduction &\; Chapters 1-3)\n Monday 23 rd February (Chapter's 4-7)\n Monday 23rd March (Chapters 8-10 &\; Con clusion)\n\nThrough reading and discussing a cluster of chapters together each month over three meetings\, we will undertake age-old practices of co mmunal learning\, cultivating collective wisdom\, building solidarities an d engaging the feminist imagination. To do so requires a commitment to eac h other.
